Field Crop Survey for Crop Season 2021/2022
Tanzania Tobacco Board through the Directorate of Crop Development and Regulatory Services has planned to conduct crop survey from 28.02.2022 as per tobacco calendar.
Tanzania Tobacco Board is a crop regulatory body established under the Tobacco Industry Act No. 24 of 2001 (as amended by Crop Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act No. 20 of 2009)

To render timely and quality services to tobacco growers and tobacco traders in terms of registration, technical bark stopping and facilitation of private sector contribution in the tobacco industry for enhanced and sustainable growth for the sector’s and country’s benefits.

Licensing and Permits
<p>The Board is mandated to issue various licenses, tobacco import and export permits to tobacco traders in the country. Some of these licenses are Green Leaf Tobacco Buying License, Dry Leaf Tobacco Selling License, Tobacco Processing License and Dry Leaf Tobacco Buying License. These services can be applied through an electronic system by visiting this link. </p>
<p>Tanzania Tobacco Board has a well-trained Agricultural Officers who provide knowledge, information, experiences and technologies to tobacco growers scattered all over the country. To ensure performance of the tobacco industry in the country the Board uses training and field visit and participatory extension approaches to deliver intended knowledge to tobacco growers.</p>
